Still get a lump in my throat. I've seen a number of these ships at air shows over the years, but not the Belle.
My late Uncle Milton was a tailgunner in a 17.

I used to climb on her as a kid and donated money for the initial restoration and then more when they wanted to have her displayed on Mud Island and then again when they tried to create a permanent museum/display.

She deserves to be at the National Air and Space museum. What a history!
