jetdrvrAfrica claims another Hercules
Info is sketchy. Kitwit, Congo (Ebola Central)...aircraft started doing S-turns on rollout or takeoff at 70 knots or so and shed the nosewheels. (Nosewheel assembly is to the right, slightly behind the wing). From the interior photo, it appears that it may be a writeoff.
It's the former N522SJ, now under different ownership. I flew this aircraft extensively in Africa and other locations. Damned shame.
Looking at the flap setting, it likely occurred on takeoff.
I'm sorry to see that, damaged airplanes sure generate more empathy in me than either cars or boats do.
