Trimotor in town
Our local airport is hosting an EAA Trimotor this weekend. Sure a wonderful sight -- and better -- a unique sound. Wish I had a decent movie camera.

Yes a neat aircraft !
A friend was involved in restoring a 1935 American Eagle - a three cylinder radial engine small plane. It won an award for vintage aircraft at the events this year. I appreciate the effort spent in restoring such a piece of history !

Last day today, and it was so sweet to step out and watch it lumber through the skies above our neighborhood. Ford built these from 1925 to 1933, so the aircraft could have been more than 90 years old. It is mind-boggling to ponder this.
