Montana MaddnessAT6
Saw my first Texen in person and flying two weeks ago down in Redlodge MT. We where having a motorcycle rally in town, and they where flying all sorts of old aircraft out of the airport all weekend long. Not sure if there is a club there or somekinda flyin event. But that was the highlight of my weekend. As far as airplanes go. We ran the gate for the fairgrounds all weekend and the gate is about 200 yds from the end of the runway. All these cool oplanes would taxi out there turn into the wind and take off. Pretty neat so see some of those old birds still flying.
There also was something else I did not know what it was. It was painted like a P40 in flying Tiger war paint, but it was not that old fo plane. Not sure what it was.

RustyA few years ago my wife gave me a Christmas present of a ride in an AT6 Texan. YEEEHAWWW!
Took off from Galveston Shoales field and spent the next 30 minutes doing maneuvers up and down the beach. Finally got to do a "Victory Roll"!
I have a new found respect for those guys who can turn and burn!

Grizzly AdamsBuilt in Canada, we call them Harvards

They were still in service, when I was a kid and I can remember the distictive sound, when they did acrobatics over Calgary. This picture is from my university flying club days.
