NormanConquestSpeaking of the security issue brings back a memory. In the mid-late 70's ,the space shuttle had to do a forced landing at Berstrom AFB here in Austin.My friend Terry who was a mechanic says,I think I could fix that.Anyway,he got his brother who had just got out of the Air Force + still had his class A's to drive him out to the base in his AF blue Rambler.The M.P.'s saw D... in his uniform with Terry in the back in civvies + thought they had some hot shot. They all saluted,D... drove through. Terry got out + leaned on the shuttle while D... took his picture,then got back in the car + left the cordon of M/P.s saluting to drive into the sunset.This is a TRUE story BTW. Terry is dead now but D... is not.Just protecting those with imagination.
