Antonov 225
As long as a football field and nearly as wide.

They landed one in Fairbanks on Tuesday. Holy flyin' hippopotomus Batman!!!

We don't have concrete pavement - flexible asphalt. I'm sure they can only land here when the subgrade is frozen solid.

The aircraft is arriving from Narita, Japan and departing to Miami en route Port-au-Prince, Haiti, carrying more than 250,000 pounds of earthquake disaster relief equipment.

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

I thought I was flying a big airplane until I encountered this thing in Campinas, Brasil.

That is an impressive bird.
