BaxterBBoeing 100th anniversary flight
My 10 year old daughter had the opportunity to fly on the Alaska Airlines Boeing 100th Anniversary flight this morning from Seatac to Boeing Field. She sat first class next to former governer Dan Evans for a sight seeing trip around the mountains before being invited into the cockpit to sit in the jumpseat behind the captain during the last 10 or so minutes of the flight, including the landing. Then she stood on the stage with some other kids while dignitaries a-plenty gave speeches, including Russell Wilson from the Seahawks.
It was a great opportunity for a young girl. Dad was beaming as he watched from work :-)

Bill/OregonVery cool. I did not know Dan Evans was still alive. My Dad campaigned for him back in the day when we lived n Tacoma.
Perhaps that explains why the B29 Flying Fortress has overflown my house (in Seattle) a couple of times.
