ClemThere is a saying I once heard that Bonnanza's have killed more doctors and lawyers than any other aircraft. Seem the Cirrus is taking this claim.
Unfortunate too because the Cirrus is a very nice plane. I got to fly one. A wonderfull plane.

AlaskaJimOh yeah, we always called Bonanza's, 'Forked Tailed doctor killers'.
The Cirrus is a fine airplane, EXCEPT for when you exceed your skills as a pilot. Its fast, loaded with a fine panel and it has that handy parachute. You need to take special care in landing in crosswinds with that side control stick. I have about 100 hours in one and you really have to watch crosswind landings.

404WJJefferyI got my priviate check ride from a WWII pilot (Corsairs) named Pappy (but not the tv guy).
As we we flying in and it was pretty clear he was passing me, he had advice:
Don't be a 100 mph pilot in a 200 mph airplane...
Bonanzas, Moodys, turbo props are for those who fly A LOT, otherwise a bad result
