Makes sense. He needs climb steeply for a couple feet to clear the pickup. He must have also have held a little forward yoke pressure to stay on the trailer until he could pop it up in the air.

There's nothing to it actually. I've done it maybe 50 times including before I had my pilots license, dad drove the truck.
