Great footage. Filmed right here in NZ too. A couple of years ago saw this Mosquito doing some exhibition flying very close to my home. It's a thing of beauty and the sound of those Merlins just stirs something deep inside.

I have a very nice photo of that same Mosquito on my computer even though I,m not an airplane guy.
Like some of the most modern planes of carbon fiber composite wood is also a composite --cellulose fibers and lignin resin !

I've often wondered how the prosecution of the air war over Germany would have been different if the allies had produced many tens of thousands of Mosquitoes instead of the heavy bombers? Then employed them in precision daylight low to mid level raids as opposed to the high altitude model. Certainly, aircrew losses would have been lower and bombs on target higher. I believe the Mosquito had the lowest loss rate per sortie of any allied bomber did it not?
