JKSHoly crap!

That guy obviously has great skills and a tremendous "balls" factor.
John
There are those that do, those that dream, and those that only read about it and then post their "expertise" on AR!

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! 'What the hell could possibly go wrong?'

jetdrvrHe very well may have grown up around a drop zone, watching his parents jump. Many do. There are third and fourth generation skydivers jumping now.

Nah, he's just living on the edge, where the greatest satisfaction in living is to be found. And this guy is really good.

Joel/AKThats just crazy.
The guy definitly has bigger nuts than what I do. If that was me, I would be a human lawndart on the first jump.
It would definitly be a rush though.
A lesson in irony
The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing this year the greatest amount of free Meals and Food Stamps ever, to 46 million people.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us... "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." Their stated reason for the policy is because "The animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."
Thus ends today's lesson in irony.

jetdrvrJust guessing, but I'd surmise this guy has at least 8,000 to 10,000 jumps. It takes years of practice to attain a skill level like his.

surestrikeThe sport of skydiving sure has come a long way.

jetdrvrIt certainly has. I remember back in the 60's when getting close enough to another jumper in free fall to pass a wooden baton was big news. I retired out in 1998 with two bad shoulders, one from jumping, and a bad back from a terminal reserve activation with the old "belly wart". I really miss it. Nothing much like it anywhere. Just wish I was 23 and had the opportunities that are out there now with the winged suits and rigid wings with small jets attached to your legs. It is truly amazing what is now being done.

JALGives me the willies. Reminds me of that film, The Gypsy Moths. They had a "Suit". I think the gist was they thought they were flying so well they didn't bother pulling the shute?

jetdrvrA lot of attempts have been made over the years to produce a viable winged suit. Several people were killed in the various attempts. They have a few out now that work, one with four tiny jets installed on a folding, rigid wing.
