Delta IV Heavy launch Friday night from Vandenberg

This Friday evening, a National Reconnaissance Office spy satellite is going to be launched from Vandenberg AFB in Lompoc California. The launch window starts at 8:19 PM and it should be a great launch since it's a night launch of a Delta IV Heavy with the big boosters. The weather forecast is for clear skies here in Bakersfield so we are all looking forward to it.

Delta IV heavy is pretty interesting to see leave the pad. It looks like its completely enveloped in flames before clearing the tower.

I had half the neighborhood out watching with the live countdown on the computer and they scrubbed it 7 seconds before launch.
