biglukeGold plated .378 Weatherby
Yep! It’s all factory done in the late 70’s I believe. Very much factory engraving of action and #4 contour barrel. Action and scope base and rings are gold plated. German made mk v in the popular .378 weatherby magnum caliber. Factory custom Bubinga wood stock with special butt stock and forend inlays. Bausch and Lomb variable scope. Here’s the kicker. It’s a left hand rifle! Husband had it made and passed away recently. Wife wants to sell it. Appraised at @ $4,000.00 in 1986. She has no idea of current value nor do I. It is a gaudy but beautiful rifle and would fit well into a collection of fine weatherby rifles. I will send pictures by text or e mail to anyone interested, or if someone hold post pictures for me here that would work as well. It is in my friends store here in Pueblo. I’m just trying to help out. Cheers my friends. Luke

Michael RobinsonIt would be worth buying just so you could take it out of the safe once in a while and show it off!

congomikeNormally, I would say that is very, very, gaudy, but since it is a Weatherby, it seems to be almost "normal". Not sure why, but I actually like it.
