Up for sale is a very nice lightly used Thompson Center Pennsylvania Hunter 50 caliber flintlock. Here are the specifications:
Thompson Center, Pennsylvania Hunter Model
50 caliber black powder flintlock
28-inch barrel, 1:48” twist rate. The bore has been well cared for and shows no rust or pitting
Thompson Center green rear and red front fiber optic sights made by Williams Sight Company
Single trigger, pull at about 4.0 pounds, has been smoothed
Stock is what I would call a fancy-grade American Walnut. The buttstock has some very nice flame figure pretty well distributed on both sides. The stock has been refreshed with a few coats of Tru-Oil over time. There is a black Pachmayr recoil pad installed as I needed the extra length. Recoil on the 50 caliber is moderate. The stock has a rear sling swivel in the wood and a front swivel is a replacement barrel /ramrod design. Includes an aluminum ramrod
Stock dimensions: LOP = 14 ½”, very moderate drop as the stock seems pretty straight to me for a muzzleloader
Weight is 7 pounds 2 ounces
I am also including the following black powder bullets in the sale (format is: Manufacturer-Weight-Quantity
Federal BorLock 270 grain Sabot Copper bullet, 15 count
Power Belt 295 grain Sabot, count = 2 full packs of 16, plus 50 loose count
Power Belt Platinum, 270 grain, 8 count
Power Belt/CVA, 348 grain, 17 count
TC Shock Wave, 250 grain, Sabots, 15 count
Knight Sabot 325 grain, 15 count
Knight Sabot 250 grain, 9 count
Charger tubes used to premeasure the powder, pan powder and bullet rammer, 6 count
I am asking $550 including shipping. No FFL is required to ship. The rifle will be disassembled (barrel off) for shipping to save space. I will ship the bullets separately.
I prefer a USPS Money order, but I will take a personal check held for clearance. No PayPal. I can accommodate other payment forms except for credit cards on request. I am happy to answer any PM questions or provide more details. The first public forum reply “I’ll take it” gets the sale based on the time stamp. See the photos below. It is hard to photograph the gun without some glare/shadows and it may look like defects but if you zoom on the photo, you'll see they are photo imperfections.
Thanks Paul
