Danny PayHi sefano
Thanks for your reply. I've heard about LW barrels, but gunsmiths hear in Sweden complaining and whinig that Lw stainless is too tough to work with it! it is sad that everybody will make money.but don't want to work with those marvelos LW50 ss barrels due to the toughness of steel . LW50 is 17-4 PCH steel and it is noway to compare it to low quality low cr only alloy like 416R steel which contains a lot of sulphur!!.
cheers

<raindeer>I recently installed a pre-threaded and pre-chambered LW SS barrel in 30-06 on a Belgian FN 98 action. I only had to adjust headspace. I worked up some loads and found one near max that produces on big hole with 5 shots, measuring 13 mm.
This is the most accurate barrel I have ever shot!

How did you check the headspace? do you have NO_GO gauge tools? or do you messure it with micrometer by yourself?

<raindeer>Hello Danny,
I checked it myself with a micrometer. Since I am a reloader I am more interested in overall cartridge clearance than just in static headspace and I adjust my sizing die in such a way that clearance is within acceptable tolerances.
