IanFGreg - can speak for the UK here. The following are open season over June/July.
Roe Buck, Muntjac and Chinese Water Deer. Hare and Wood Pigeon.
You picked the wrong time to come and hunt! :0)Most male deer are 'closed season' from May 1st to Jul 31st.
Rgds from England.

WachtelIn Sweden the summer is very off-season too. Our real hunting seasons begins on the 16th of August roe-deer bucks), really takes off in September/October with almost everything, and lasts until January. You can hunt all year but then only for "varmint" species. It all depends on what, and how, you wan't to hunt.

Sauenjger1In Germany is it the season for Roe-buck or small wild boar.
Roe buck especially end of July - beginning of August. May be you can book a hunt somewhere.
Best regards

amosgregSauenjger1,
Do you know of (or can post) links or outfitters?
Marterius,
This is going to be a vacation/second honeymoon so I won't be carrying the bow but if the opportunity is there I will use a rented rifle.
So if I read this correctly the only choices I have for mid - late June is the following:
Roe Buck, Muntjac and Chinese Water Deer - in the UK
Roe Buck, Boar in Germany
Are there any outfitters you can recommend?
Thanks

King BaboonRoebuck / wild boar / fox in France as well Greg. Forget the bow, administratively too complicated here even for a resident (in addition to the the many defaults you already know we have, froggies do love paperwork

). Europe is big. Which country do you exactly plan to visit?

<tread>Hi
Just to let you know that Red and Sika stags are in season in Scotland in July, but it is usually only the older stags that are out of velvet by early July

<Pre64>Greg,
I suppose you'll probably go to many places in Europe, but you might try to fit Alsace in France into the schedule. I believe its the best of France and Germany. Strasbourg is a great destination and Switzerland and Germany are next door. If you managed to arrange a hunt in the Vosges...
