fla3006Shipping a rifle from Sweden to USA ?
I have purchased a rifle from a dealer in Sweden and am looking for the best way to ship to the USA. I have gotten the government/legal paperwork processed and approved. What is the best, most reliable and expedient way to ship it? Thanks!

mhoOne of the couriers, if they will handle it. UPS in Switzerland does not touch guns, the postal service does - just the opposite of the States, it would appear (go figure!). Anyway, see if FedEx or UPS will do the job for you. If not, air freight with a recognized shipper is probably your best bet.
Consider taking the gun apart and having it shipped in a shorter box - less chance of breakage. Obviously shipping in a locked (take-down) gun-case is the best alternative.
Good luck - mike

<Matt77>of course, no matter who will bring it over here, you still will need to fill out all of the paperwork and go through customs. Best of luck.

fla3006The worst part, so far, was getting the import permits from BATF. What a fiasco. I think the rest will be comparatively easy.
