Which European airlines accept guns?

richierich1Which European airlines accept guns?
Hello,
I currently live in Czech and will be travelling to England soon for business, but plan on returning with a couple of my personal firearms that I have over there. I was planning on taking Ryanair, but since have heard rumour that they will not accept firearms and am now wondering who will. Does anybody know if the rumour is true? What are the friendliest airlines to use within Europe and US bound?
Thanks
Cheers,
Rich

Fallow BuckEasyjet still accepts firearms, and British Airways also still take guns and ammo.
That should cover your needs for this trip.
Most carriers are fine with Firearms. The only ones I have heard say no are Ryanair and Aer Aaran.

Claret_DabblerI travelled from the UK to the Czech Rep and back as recently as last week with firearms. No problem. This was with Easyjet.
Those that definitely do not carry firearms are Ryanair, JetII and Aer Aaran.
Don't know which others may or may-not.
Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

Steve MalinverniYou can take info when you are booking, and decide which carrier you want to use ... I always put in evidence that I'm travelling with guns, declarating them as sporting equipment. Last year I did not pay for the weight of the rifles, and it was an overweight of 13/14kg

jpbI have always been treated respectfully by Lufthansa (although once I did have to ask for a supervisor who knew the rules better than the counter person).

richierich1Yes, I've never had any trouble with Lufthansa or their budget airline Condor when flying to and from Alaska direct via Frankfurt. The problem is they only do that fight during the summer season from early May to early October. Still good for spring bear and autumn bear, moose, sheep and caribou hunting. Plus the best fishing you’ll ever do in your life!

DUKSAS also very recommendable, Lufthansa of course and Austrian Airlines when travelling East.

Pete LincolnAir Berlin are also good. just make sure, if you are traveling with ammo, that the ammo box has the UN 0014 or12 stamp on it.,

WinkI have travelled with firearms on Air France and KLM with no problems. If you are citizen or permanent resident of a country member of the European Union there is a document know as the "European Firearms Pass" recognized by the member countries. If your firearms are registered in that document it can facilitate customs queries when crossing borders. Here is link to the Eu directive. I don't know which authority in the UK delivers the pass.
