Double rifle
Any of you gentlemen familiar with the Antonio Zoli Express Focus Double rifle.
One used for sale locally complete with S&B scope in original mounts, dies, bullets and brass.
The calibre is 9,3x74.

I have no experience with double rifles, but this one is affordable, and in a calibre that´s fits Norwegian moose woods as well as African bush.........
I don´t need one but tempation guys....temptation Razzer

One of my shooting mates has one in that calibre and is very happy with it. It is well regulated and very accurate. He is also able to shoot any weight bullet in his from the light Norma 232 all the way up to the Woodleigh 320 grainer with no regulation trouble. The point of impact of the lighter bullet is a little higher on the target though, but that can be a good thing for a longer range load without having to touch the sights. Just carry two loads, a Ballistic tip for the long range stuff and round soft nosed heavy weight for the close stuff. The bullets are so different that they are easy to tell the difference in the field, even just by touch alone.

Saw a discussion where that DR was mentioned maybe in December. Remember thinking the price was very attractive.

Can you arrange to shoot it? Handle it and if it handles well and if it shoots to reasonable regulation it sounds like it will fit most of your needs.

The calibre sounds about perfect for running moose shots. Mine did well on a number of buffalo cows and it was not lacking at all on these large animals.

About 10 years ago if you wanted an affordably priced double over here, your choice was pretty much restricted to Zoli. As a result I know a few people who shot Zoli doubles in 9.3x74 and the accuracy was always good to great for a double rifle. I would echo the comment that they regulate easily (at least those I saw seemed to). The Zoli doubles seemed to represent very good value.

I can make a few comments on the 9,3x74R cartridge. I have been using a Chapuis double rifle for several years. It is my favorite hunting rifle calibre under 40 cal.
It is not too much for deer sized game yet plenty enough for the big stuff.
Baised on what the above posters have stated I would give the Zoli a try.
For moose sized game the 286 grain Woodleigh Soft or the Nosler Partition bullets should do just fine. The 286 gr Norma Alaska bullet is a little soft. The 293 gr TUG is bad to the bone.

They are reasonably priced, and if they shoot that's fantastic.

I would also look at Zanardini, I beleive is the other name. I could have bought one in Spain for $1300. A Spanish mate had one and his was a shooter.
