Driven pheasant in southern England?
An elderly gentleman I know is interested in driven pheasant in southern England. He's been doing this in Scotland for some years, but feels the travel to get up there, with transferes via Heathrow etc is getting to be a hassle. Thus his interest in southern England.

Anyone have any good tips?

Eric,

Drop me a PM if you like and I can give you some details. In the area you mention there is a wide degree of value and also depends on what sort of day your friend is looking for.

I am lucky in having shot and seen a lot of good shoots. I think the two I would always pick above others are Hadeho, and Bittescombe (Steve Thomas's place). I was part of a team that included two olympian's, two world FITASC medallists, and England sporting team members, who all came off a day at Bittescombe grinning like idiots.

Thanks for the input guys!

Have any of you heard of a guy named Gordon Morris? And a shooting property called Kiddington just north of Woodstock as far as I've understood. And Eynsham Park?
Both are apparently next door to Blenheim Palace, if that says anything.

Any info on the above would be appreciated. Smiler

I suspect the village is Kidlington thereabouts. Nice enough area but lacking in decent ground contour - flat countryside for showing quality driven birds. Go West for challenging driven shooting.... but it will cost £30/bird.
