Andre MertensIt's about a rimmed .30-06, with comparable ballistics (slightly hotter, though). To my knowledge, only Blaser (made by Thun/CH) and RWS offer factory ammo.

dutchgusThe catridge was developed by Blaser and introduced in 1991. It's about 5% "hotter" than a 30.06. According to the RWS reloading manual, the minimum load of the .30 Blaser should be around the maximum load for the 30.06 using the same bullet.
Roland Zeitler's reloading book
Wiederladen für Jagd und Sport has some data.
Powders listed are mostly VV N160, N560 and RWS R907 (the approximate equivalent of RL19). From the size of the case, you should be able to use slower powders such as H4831, RL22 (and equivalent) with good results.
