Fallow BuckHi Guys,
All the VFP's went into the post today. Please PM me when they get there so I know it is all OK and if you don't have them within a week then let me know and I will work a solution for you.
Only 2 weeks to go and looking forward to seeing everyone again. Having missed last year I can't wait to get out and shoot some.
Brian, If I get a chance next week I will see if I can cure and smoke a couple of Fallow sirloins for old times sake!!
K
17 February 2012, 19:03
Claret_DabblerGood idea Kiri. I might have a go at smoking a Sika loin myself next week if I can manage to shoot one. Having a disasterous deer season.
I will try and bring a decent bottle whiskey, none of that scotch rubbish....
Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

No he doesn't.

18 February 2012, 14:26
DJMThere is only one proper Whiskey the rest are just poor copies!
As for Bourbon in Scotlands distilleries they use it to rinse the barrels with before filling them!
18 February 2012, 17:48
Fallow BuckHmmm the whiskey talk has started... I'm not sure why butive started to shiver!!
I might have a bottle of balvenie here somewhere otherwise I will have to slum it with your potato juice Brian. I assume we are talkingabout the crimson tit?

18 February 2012, 18:52
GhubertThat's because you're a lightweight Kiri.

Hold booze like a well worn sieve.

You and Gerry.

I recall a certain drinking competition and that only a certain person managed to make it up to go hunting the next day.

Some credit must go to Quiddy however, as the series of enthusiastic licks delivered to my ear worked better than dynamite and dancing girls to extract me from my lair...
19 February 2012, 03:04
Fallow BuckAmir
to be fair you are the only person I know that would cite dancing girls as a reason to get out of bed...
19 February 2012, 05:04
GhubertWho said anything about a bed?

20 February 2012, 14:48
Trapper DaveSadly, I'm unable to attend this year for a variety of domestic reasons.
However, Quiddy says he's up for the trip, he quite likes finding lost deer and scavenging for scraps under the table.
As far a curing excessive snoring problems goes, his agile tongue can flick a dog biscuit out of the aural cavities of anyone sleeping prone on the carpet with enough speed and agility to ensure a quick retreat behind the sofa.
Better than that, he responds to being blamed for the odd fart with a wag of the tail.
So, if anyone wishes to hire such a multi-talented hound for the trip, I'm open to offers.

Davey,
First, we'll miss you at the Weekend; as a Charter Member; like we did for Kiri last year, have a tipple in your Honor.
Thanks a million for the Quiddy offer but Winkelmeister is bringing Finn, his Black Lab Bitch and she has all of Quiddy's adorable virtues plus several the AR Weekend group hasn't encountered previously, either; so we'll be well sorted in that department.
Finn can easily handle 2 Amir's simultaneously; and no one else on the" List" even remotely has as many similar Ghubert qualities - so Fynn'll be on Easy Street.
Bye-the-Bye; her "Green Clouds" will clear the Sitting Room quicker than opening a Whisky bottle in the Dining Room ......

Cheers,

GhubertHey, hey...
I don't this Finn yet.
What do you guys think, that I'm some kind of floozy?

Claret_DabblerTo more basic concerns, it looks like the weather is going to be nasty late next week, very wet and windy.
We can only hope the long range forecast is wrong....
Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....
23 February 2012, 18:56
GhubertIt doesn't look too bad for the East of England to be fair.
I've never been rained on as much as I was at Kiri's place just before last year's meet, this year can only be better!

GerryGents,
The weather report we've received so far (10 Day Extended Forecast) appears quite upbeat compared to Kiri's torential opening gambit last year. Hope for good weather.

Ben,
Yes, I REALLY like it!
Amir,
How about ..... Clayton, Viscount of the Realtree Camos?
..... a Butter Knife? .... I've got smaller blades that I can still spread with .....

Arild IversenI really whish I could have been there with you guys (I even bought my self a camo pyjamas).
But my Namibian adventure last year drained my savings.
Hopefully next year if this tradition continues!

I'm sure you do your Grace, will the Viscount be requiring any special adult beverages for this year's drinking competition?

Hope to see you soon too mate, I'll even sell shares of the "Iverson and Daughter Muntjac Company" at £20 a pop to people in order to fund it!

Who would like to buy shares in the Iverson and Daughter Muntjac Company?
We're a great company to buy shares in, utterly transparent in our dealings, make excellent coffee, the whole bit.
Roll up! Roll up!

24 February 2012, 23:01
londonhunterI proposed we will do muntjac swaps as
derivatives
In a way we can help our poorer European
cousins
24 February 2012, 23:09
GhubertDo I have a Chinese buyer for shares in IaDMC?
We'll even consider outsourcing.

Nah, we're bringing 1/2 gallon glass jars of Bourbon, smartly dressed in Realtree Camo; the basic component of Single Malt Whisk(e)y or ..... one of the ingedients you use to tar your roof. You can drink or stay dry ..... take your choice.
The Oirish will arrive with nothing to drink other than either an empty (broken) glass, Apple Friut Juices or Ci(y)der and claim it's a swell drink but in reality they'll drink anyone's Whisky as long as it's free.

Fallow Buckhey all,
cant wait for the weekend it looks like it will be a blast. not sure what we are swapping muntjac for but I have beer wine and whiskey so the trader in us should find a solution!!!
I will be up at Livermere from thursday night with anders, johnathan and possibly allan so if you are arriving early let me know and I'll book you in.
Kiri von Greque
27 February 2012, 12:30
Bill PinkI heard the Munties at Livermere can be pretty tough, so I'm bringing one of these babies.

GerryBill,
You ought to be toting just @ "Enough Gun" for those Great Livermere Munties.
Bring a pocket flashlight for a quick reload; you can use one of those instead of a $45.00 solid brass projectile .....

Arild,
We'll miss you, too but I'm here to tellya; you've made one solid investment. I can relate that those Realtree P-Js are quite dashing & spiffy with a Crimson sash; to which an London Italian Resturant Owner's wife will gladly attest!
Kiri - don't you DARE! You will see the interior (it'll be the last thing you'll ever see) of a tinted-window, black Suburban ....

Clayton, Viscount ..... of the R-T's.

Arild IversenGerry, camo pyjamas will never go out of style (have to think about the crimson sash...)
Whish you all a great weekend, and please...post a report with lots of pictures

Arild Iversen.
28 February 2012, 19:56
Fallow BuckGerry,
I'm not sure which bit it is that I should not dare to do but the historical evidence will probably show us that I will dare after all.
Please provide me more details so I can pack the right attire.
Rgds,
Kiri
