AkshooterI'm going to throw a lot of ignorance on my part out here.
I belive in a few Cantons the hunters are restricted to only one caliber of rifle.
I'm not sure of the cal because I belive it's common only to Switzerland but is it the one we are talking about here (10.3x60R)
As I recall the resrictions included scopes for hunters under 60 as well but here again I belive I heard that part was changed a few years ago.
Am I assuming corectly and which Cantons have these restrictions?

Not quite. Several cantons have minimal caliber requirements - either expressed in terms of "caliber" (as in bullet or bore diameter) and/or in terms of energy delivered at various ranges.
For the canton of Graubuenden the rules work out in a way, that makes the 10.3x60R the smallest commercial catridge allowed. Quite a few people in that canton elect to to shoot larger cartridges, the .416 Rem Mag seems to have developed quite a following.

Yes, Collani and 10.3x60R will supply the details, but it is a fairly recent change that allows all users to use optical sights for hunting. (Our Graubuenden members will pardon me for finding the rules rather arcane...).
Graubuenden also has a requirement that all hunting rifles be single shot. Ruger #1's are pretty popular, and bolt action repeaters are used with a wooden block in place of the magazine.

Last time ....most popular is Blaser R93 in Graubünden, my rifle is Ruger N.1 and Mauser 98 (one small barrel and one wit long barrel 65 cm)

BoghossianNice project, keep up the good work.
I look forward to reading the history section but could someone tell me why this rule is in existence in this one canton? Sounds like an interesting historical quirk.
