Pardon my posting on the Euro. forum but since some of the feedback is in German perhaps it's the best place to start. Now for the question.

What do you know about RWS scopes? I see this one on gunbroker. Seems too good to be true?

I have a RWS 3-9 X 42? somewhere. As I recall it was an extremely accurate scope with good clear bright glass and never gave any trouble. I had it on a .22 LR but, I do believe it was an air rifle scope and managed a rimfire with ease.

I had an RWS scope on a rimfire a few years back...As I recall it was a cheap and cheerful Far Eastern made air rifle scope...A lot of people into the Field Target side of air rifle shooting seem to use these big scopes so RWS cater for that market..

I can`t understand why RWS as a manufactorer for premium ammo give his name for a scope of this class! The RWS scopes are not made in Germany or an other european country, they are far away from these standards.

A very nice Steyr Mannlicher Luxus in 7x64 w/EAW mounts.

Like the others above I've used some of the RWS scopes, mostly on rf's, they're O.K. if they don't take beating. Like M-F said, I cannot believe one of the premeiré global amunition manufacturers put their name on these as they are far from a top brand European scope.

Typical of many who get stationed here - purchase a very nice rifle and then realize the cash outlay for a solid European scope will cost as much as the rifle; so they attmept to rationalize with an alternative.....

Not all "Euro Optics" are first class, some are far from it it..
I think some of the guys get suckered in on the scopes as well...It's easy to stick cheap optics and construction into a nice looking scope and put a Euro sounding name on it..

I have seen scope and the problem is not the quality scope, is the precision test.

Me it seems a littel wide to 100m.

The RWS is a discret scope costructor. Hy have all scope swaroski and for my personal thought one mannlicher rilfe it deserves one more quality scope.
