Husqvarna M98AR Stalking Weekend Details
Sweet, FB, I sure am glad I saw it and had it corrected, there are some nice assistants at the firearms permit office, they sure were paitient with a poor confuses Swede,
btw and as for reference to you all, if you are blond with blue eyes like me, the drill "I am confused and would love some help" works wonders...
Best regards to you all Chris

Husqvarna M98FB- the postman knocked tvice this morning, caught me just as I was leaving for work.
The disrepacy regarding time/date is due to me just updating my previous entry, I figured that the update would show, apparently not.
Anyways I belive that I am GTG now.
Thanks for everything

solviGot my Firearm permit yesterday, now all I have to do is to find the right load for my rifle.
Got 6 new loads ready, but it’s a storm after an storm, and I just have to wait for a day with a good weather to try them.

Fallow BuckExcellent Guys!! Looks like we are ready to go.
The only stuff left to organise is the on site stuff like organising the range and the kitchens, so other than that we are good to go.
A couple of people have mentioned Gluten and lactose intolerances, is there anyone else? I think as long as you aren't allergic to venison you'll be OK!!

solviFB.
My only trouble is that I have a very delicate stomach, and need to have steak for every meal. And the doctors advice is, to have a glass of red wine with it.

Fallow BuckCunning!!!! I'm on the case.
We will be roasting a couple of haunches of Sika courtesy of Artemis in the charcoal oven on the first night and then probably a large leg of Pork for the second night. There will be a venison curry and a rabbit dish also.
Paul will be making some home cured bacon and some sausages and I'm smoking some venison this week for you all to try. Hopefully if I shoot a couple more fallow in the next week or so I will smoke some more before the date.
Best regards,

Fallow BuckGents,
A quick reminder about Public Liability Insurance for Baldock. As I have mentioned the estate requires that all people shooting on the weekend are fully covered by one of the common insurance policies that come with membership to many of the shooting organisations. May I please remind you that you will need this if you are to be allowed to shoot on the weekend.
You can join either BASC or CA online. I can't speak for the CA as my membership there was done at a game fair but the BASC site was very easy when I recently joined them online.
Also to add, the clay shooitng on the saturday looks like it will be unlikely as Dig (who was supplying the muskets) will be in the Okavango Delta chasing critters with a friend. I tried to persuade him to stay behind and join us for a round of 50 sporting clays but apparently it is a no go.....
Rgds,

GerryWhat about us "European Unioners" who already have adequate Hunting Liability Insurance? My German Policy is already configured to cover me abroad plus I am a member of two German hunting/shooting organizations already offering similar benefits.
Bringing the Blaser R93 OffRoad in .243 Winchester w/Zeiss ZM 3-12x56 ("The Beast") w/both bolts; a Left & Right. Topped-of with 85 grain Nosler Partitions but sadly cannot bring any of the other 4 barrels for it.

Fallow BuckGerry,
That is fine if you are covered already.
Foxshooter,
So you're coming down then? It'll be good to catch up, just remind me to put my ear defenders on when you let off that cannon of yours!! (I know, 2southern nancies blah blah blah...")
I spoke to Colin yesterday and it looks like we are very close to getting finished now. All I have to do is decide on te Mod which is doing my head in!! I think I'm going to end up with a 32mm PES Scout as things stand. I was looking at the stealth but then I realised how big it was.
Anyuway, looking forward to catching up.
See ya,
FB

Need to sort my insurance cover as it has expired.
Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

Kim, I take it that SMKs are Serra Match King, If so these are not classed in the UK as "expanding" you will need round that is "designed to expand in a perdictable manner" so Serra Gamekings are a safe bet
