loud-n-boomerTell me about the Darne
Not exactly big game, but I am curious about experiences with Darne type shotguns, as I am looking at buying one in 16-gauge.
Thank you,
Dave

OldsargeI, on the other hand, lov'em! Restocked in the English style and fully cold-rust blued, there are few more graceful doubles on the planet. I rue the day I could have had one at a British auction where they are looked upon as silly rather than eccentric for under 300 because I didn't have the proper paperwork. Everyone who has ever written about them seems of one voice, "to shoot a Darne is to love a Darne."

George SemelA friend of mine hunted with one in 16 ga. its a very elegant. Very light and very shootable. I remember shooting a few pheasants with it. A very good double shotgun.

RSEKI have one and am not particularly thrilled. Too much drop and with the type action. there is not much possibility of raising enough. I find it mor of a novelty. You aren't intrested in a 12?

Oldsarge I might be? How much? Would you trade for a Rem 3200 trap model? Mmmmm?
