10,3x60rShooting Game
Place the argument for your opinions in merit. Next 23 August we organize a hunting shooting game, the hunter making one "parcour" and shot on the red deer, roe deer, chamois, red fox and beaver (marmota marmota on latin).
And this training it is for the preparation of the imminent hunting season.
The location is San Bernardino (Switzerland), the prizes are much beautiful example: frist one rifle Sabatti balancing. And you pay only 40 swiss franc for registration.
The Weapon only Hunting Rifle 223. to 458( example no bench rest rifle)
If passages give in zone make a jump

from that we drink a beer!!

Excellent - looks like a really good and enjoyable day. The course of fire looks sensible and very well thought out.

Looks like a tough couple of positions. Both shot "off hand" - no backpacks, shooting sticks etc (looks like slings are allowed)??
This would take some training to score well. I'll bet the locals do best, since they are used to the positions, distances and conditions under which you shoot.

P.S. "Marmot" or "Rock Chuck" would be better than "Beaver" in this case.

BoghossianLooks like a great way to prepare for the season!
Interesting to see someone using the barrel mounted sling as a brace, I wonder if the improved steadiness makes up for change in impact...

A beaver is a animal that lives in the river and cuts down trees with his big choppy teeth, a marmot is the animal you are referring to.
In North America they are called chucks, marmots, and whistle pigs. We have 3 varieties and they spread from Quebec and Labrador to Alaska, down to California and across to Virgnia.
Marmel is the word in German eh?

meteHe's talking about woodchuck or groundhog [Marmota in Latin or Italian] as the target shows. There was a mis-translation as beaver is Castor in latin or Castoro in Italian.
Looks like it was a fun event !

enfieldsparesIt would not be impossible to organise similar, but with more rounds fired...say three per target (one standing, one prone, one off sticks) at somewhere like "The Bog".
