Big Bore FanEU will have new gun laws
The EU commission wants to set new stricter gun laws for member States. Guns to be equipped with biometric fuses and this should be mandatory. Similarly, the Internet selling in arms and ammunition should be banned. Also, there should be no "free" selling more of airguns and replicas of historical guns.
Have the article reference unfortunately only in German.

I was not sure, if "biometric fuse" is the right word in english.
But this is a "safety", which will be delocked with your fingerprint.

Here in Germany, we have very exact rules, which handgun or rifle should stored in the correct safes.

But there´re also ideas, that guns should stored at central storages, like at shooting range or at the police station (like in the GDR). "Guns at home are too dangerous!"
At the moment, many ideas are on the way.

Nordic2The only crime done with hunting rifles here is poaching. Criminals have plenty of guns from other sourses(they never been legal in sweden).

Big Bore FanYes, also in Germany. Crime with rifles, shotguns, the "bad" assault-like semi-autos and natural with "free" muzzleloaders is basically zero at us. There are also, although here about every sh*t statistics are kept, no statistics on the proportion of legal weapons in criminal offenses. So can all of this, into one pot. Just as it does now the EU. All guns must be banned. Even the guns of the hunters, shooters and collectors. Before what these politicians have actually scared?

meteJust look to America - before the insanity there were few school shootings that I can remember.
Then schools were declared "Gun Free Zones" !
Now they have become very common !
They'll be more common when guns have been taken from citizens.

Big Bore FanThere is simply no connection between more or less weapons and related murders or suicides that. Really serious crimes can´t prevented anyway by any law in the world.
To 1972 in Germany the sale of weapons was almost free from 18 years. Then it went downhill. In 1977, for all the "Floberts" you need also a permit.
Strangely, we have also not every day dueled us on the open road before in 1972. Even school schooting were unknown. Only in the last few years we have these problems. But to tackle the causes of it, their will rather disarm all. It´s the easier way.
As Breivik killed this many people at the past with his Ruger Mini, it gave us at next day the discussion, that such rifles must be forbidden. In Norway, there was no such discussions more ....

boarkillerGrowing up in Czechoslovakia, Commies had it back then.
Strict gun control, main reason - uprising against Commie Party, besides protecting us from ourselves.
Politicians will always do this. " Let's protect you and me from ourselves "
" You are stupid so I will tell you what to do, when and where "
EU seems to be heading back to that age again.
Europe, where few rule many. When will Europe wake up?
So glad I left that continent and raised my kids here in US.
Still like to visit, but living there?
No thanks.

boarkillerYou are so right, the mind set in EU is simply elitist and class divided
Until that changes, it'll always be the same

shakariFirearms laws here in Portugal are a mega stuff up.
No gun safe requirements for less than 4 firearms & licencing is so bloody complicated, it's not true!
