Millwall PaulI love American English...
My wife had a funny mix of american english when she was on holiday with her parents in florida. Her father was renting a boat and talking to the local guy while my wife was strolling in the sea. My father in-law asked how deep the water got off the beach. The guys reply was priceless, he said, "well your daughter can go out just over a hundred yards before her fanny will even get wet." My wife was a teenager at the time and was mortified by what the guy said, on the other hand her father couldn't stop laughing. They said it was even funnier when they explained what the culural meaning of what had just said was in english. He couldn't stop appologising.
