FCS leases
We're almost at the new start date for all those wanting to stalk unaccompanied on FCS leases to be DSC2 holders.

Personally I think there are going to be a lot of vacant syndicate places and lease holder places very very soon.

Word has it that its all going to have to change on the BASC Arran stalking scheme as that's also up for re-tender.

Only problem is BASC and the FC ain't that willing to enter the various internet discussions that are currently high on the topic lists.

Even Neil Griffiths one of the Arran schemes coordinators, who was very quick to try and canvass votes on these very forums in another attempt to get himself elected to the BASC council has been unwilling to raise his head above the parapet on this issue.

Could it be one of the political hot potatoes, that everyone shy's away from having to pick up and deal with.

Does anyone have a good recipe for cod?

Take a piece of aluminum paper, put a coating of mango chutney with some lemon and some brown sugar or Maple syrup and let the cod fillets rest in the blend for a n half an hour then put it on the grill for 5 min on its side.

Thanks Solvi!

Great idea for the fish, you have just decided what's for dinner tomorrow.

I bet the piece of fish I get from the fishmongers tomorrow won't be as fresh as you're used to though. Big Grin

Keep the good suggestions coming gentlemen.

Back on track. hilbily

If I have been correctly informed there is/was talk of the Arran stalking switching to the private estate. I suppose they would then not be constrained by the FCS rules.

Seeing as the relentless stalking pressure on the BASC scheme resulted in many of the deer abandoning ship and crossing over the fence line, the chances of connecting rather than simply spending days sat looking at empty clear fell might well be significantly increased.

Armin & Solvi,

Good suggestions for the Cod ...... make sure to wash your hands though; nothing worse than those smelly fish fingers.

Cheers,

Speaking of cod - Amir let's try to organise another trip into the channel to stock up my new freezer.

Save yourself the trouble. Just pop into any of the east and south coast fishing ports and buy what you need off the locals for less than a trip out. Spend the rest in the pub getting bladdered.

You do drink don't you? Cool

Boggy,

I spoke to the skipper and there are a few Pollack coming off the wrecks but no cod as yet. I was thinking that probably 3-4 trips booked between now and september should get us afloat a couple of times at least?

We should be able to get a crew together fairly easily, and see if we can get some variety. (in fish species not people...Wink )

Cool - sounds good. I've all kitted up and nowhere to go!

Very kind of you to think of me. I never knew you cared. lol

But I have tried it and have found it to be one of the most boring activities known to man, and that was with a great bunch of mates along for the trip.

You and the rest of the luvvys enjoy yourselves whilst off playing Capt Ahab and his salty crew. I'll go stalking with the FC guys if that's OK.

For cod's sake Gabriel don't we have enough pollacks on here without having him floundering about the boat making a sprat of himself?

Holy mackerel!

Pity you don't apply that amount of creative effort to your contributions to Deer Talking, rather than leaving up to others.

The site might not be the lack lustre and abysmal place that it is, if you had.
