Swaroski Z5
Has anyone had a look at the new Swaroski Z5 scopes?

Some interesting features which appeal to me, reticule in the SFP, quite sleek looking compared to the Z6.

Big question, do the Z5 and Z6 have the same glass?

The Swaro website mentions "HD" glass for the Z6, but something call "Diamond Bright" in the Z5.

Given the similar prices, the Z5 glass would need to be as good as the Z6.

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you....

I currently own one but am in the process of buying another Z6i, and if the Z5 is as good or better, it is going to be one heck of a scope!

Brian a litle bit too late but if anybody wants to buy a scope you really should viist the game fair.

A friend of mine is comtemplating the same thing. I told him to bring along a few scopes that our group of friends own at the moment at visit all the competitors stand. They will not stop you comparing side by side every model till your hearts content.

Swar had all the models on display there and zeiss is 40 yards aways and so is leica.

I heard they spent the best part of 03 hours comparing the z5 z3 and z5 30x on display against the same target u under the same condition. They went back at 730pm before closing and did the same comparison again.
Perhaps next year.

THe 1 inch tube are very very light and light gathering power is on par according to Richard whitely. side by side I cannot tell the difference between this and the z6. Reticles are differnet again person preference...
