DeerdogsDecent working gunsmith in SW England
Guys, I need a bit of help. I have a very nice English side lock that suddenly developed a safety catch problem. The gun is currently locked up in Bristol, but I plan to get it into a good 'smith to have it sorted out when I an next back in the UK at Christmas.
Can anyone recommend a good quality 'smith with experience in this field? Ideally within an hours drive from Bristol.
Thanks very much

1894mk2Expensive but very good - Jason Abbot - Tetsworth Near Oxford.
Cheap, very good, needs dynamite to get finished on time - Roger Hance - Great Missendon near West Wycombe.
2 hours drive though. English guns need someone good!

If you get the gun to an RFD then we can get it the any of the smiths we use for about twenty five quid. You may need to package it though.
What sort of gun is it and what make as it all makes a difference on the choice of gunsmith. Dig is back today and can advise but you are right that it needs to o to the right guy for the job.

Trapper DaveWhen my Berretta stock began to disintegrate after sustained and enthusiastic use on Pigeons & Doves in South Africa, Diggs was able to arrange an excellent repair through his team of gunsmiths.
So I second Fallow Buck's recommendation.
It's worth discussing with him.
