Recknagel Bottom Metal?

lawndartRecknagel Bottom Metal?
Is it possible to buy a recknagel bottom metal for the 404Jeffrey to adapt to a standard Model 98 sytem. The Recknagel/Golmatic sight says that they make them but the price is on the space shuttle that blew up. I would be willing to send Euro's over if someone would be willing to mail the "sample machine parts" back.
Your grateful servant, LD

Steve Malinverniprobably I have some problem with my english this time, but what is the "recknagel bottom metal" exactly?
Eventually, as Mike, I can call Recknagel and speak with one of the manager thet I know.

GerryJohn,
Yo, Gottfried will make (if he already doesn't) about any piece that can be fitted & function to a M98 Mauser action; including Magmun length Mauser actions.
You are correct - the price of his Liitle Itty-Bittie Pieces of metal will take the breath right outa your lungs.....step back & take and inhale deeply.....
You want Bottom-Metal for a .404 Jeffery based cartridge head on a "Standard-Length "M98" Mauser action?
PM me please.....let's discuss.
Cheers,

lawndartThanks guys!
I have been away from AR for a few days - not good.
I will PM later tonight.
The "bottom metal" consists of the single unit magazine box and trigger bow, plus the hinged bottom to the magazine box.
I will practice my breathing exercises.

Steve MalinverniHi lawndart,
excuse my delay, but I had some trouble in the last days. I haven't call Recknagel yet.
To be sure and summarizing, you need the price and the availability. In the positive case we will try to manage the business, is it correct?

lawndartYes sir,
I will have to sell a child to the circus to cover expenses, but that is the way of life.
Are the girls in Milan still pretty?

lawndartWoodjack,
Did you order the book directly from Recknagel? Is that a dealer's catalog?
Thanks,
LD

z1rLD,
I got mine (book) directly from Recknagel. I ordered it off their website, free of charge even. Mine is a few years old. You might check with NECG, they may also have copies.

GerryHey Lawn Pfeil......
If you want Gottfried's latest catalog & info that is the least of your problems - I've got ALL of his info.
I save it to gander & ponder when I'm feeling really flush; like on Pay-Day - by the 2nd of the month the urge is suddenly gone.
If you PM me with mailing address I can post to you.

lawndartPM enroute!

WoodjackLawnDart,
yes, catalogue is direct from ERA no charge. its about 132 pages.
..any idea what ERA bottometal costs?... I know one scope ring from ERA costs about $75, where a pair of leuoplds cost $25.

lawndartIt will be fun wearing the catalogu out. I must put 404J rounds through a 1909 Mauser . Then there is the 8x68 converon and finally, the more common 9,3x64.
These will absolutely require wood stocks, don't you think.

Steve MalinverniHi Lawndart,
I've spoken with Mrs Gabriele Recknagel, and she told me that their American Dealer is:
New England Custom Gun Service
438, Willow Brook Road
USA-Plainfield NH 03781
Phone: +1/603/4693450
Fax: +1/603/4693471
E-mail: bestguns@adelphia.com
www.newenglandcustomgun.comShe told me also that, by her opinion, it is the better way to manage this business, due the necessity to have a licence to export.
If you prefer to avoid to use NECG Ltd, she suggested to me the name of an Italian distributor that is near to me. I can contact the owners in any moment.
Of course she has no problem in selling to me the bottom metal as I should not have problem in sendig it to you.
Make me know your decision.
bye
Stefano
