Reiver444.marlin
Hi every one just woundering if any one on this side of the pond hunts and reload with a 444 marlin as i intend to try mine out this winter on wild boar and am after some tips ?

308matethere's a guy in my gun club has a 444 marlin and reloads using Reloader 7 and 300gr heads, and you know all about it when you pull the trigger!

but going from 100m to 150m it drops like half brick!

GerryI've seen a couple of fellows use them here in The Fatherland on drive hunts. .444's & 45/70 Marlins. The ones who use them swear by them but all claim the loading/unloading cycling is a PITA from one Drive to the next.
Can'rt say much about the reloading for the .444; I've only reloaded some 45/70's for one Guy.
From what I've seen (the few times) the terminal pefomance on Wild Boar is a real Show Stopper so-to-speak - for the Piggies that is.
Have fun bashing some Pigs with it!
