David Culpepper10 Days and Counting - Pictures Added
10 days before my flight leaves for England and the waiting is about killing me. My first trip to Europe and will be hunting roe buck and muntjac with Adam and Kiri.
Everybody help me out and start turning your clocks forward so time will go by faster and I will not have to wait so long.

Brad Hinn30 days for me, I know the feeling!
I am sure the hunt will be great, enjoy yourself!
The roe rut doesn't appear to have started up here just yet. Might be going well for the time you arrive.
I was stalking in the middle of Thetford forest last night and managed a nice malform buck. They weren't reacting to the call at all

Fallow BuckHi David,
sws is spot on, as we are in Scotland looking at some new stalking to add, and the rut here is still not really going. There have been a few false starts so you are looking good.
I should be out hunting with you on Saturday so I look forward to meeting you and grabbing a bit of dinner.
You know where we are if you need either of us.

David CulpepperDown to 7 days before flight leaves next Friday. Will be landing at Heathrow on Saturday at about 11am.
David,
Saw my first clean muntjac (hard antlers with no velvet) of the year last night. He was a whopper as well!
The roe deer are now rutting in Norfolk and Suffolk.....

Adam.270David opened his UK deer account this morning with a nice little four point buck that came into the Buttolo call like a train. Not much other sign of rutting behaviour here though - does everywhere but no bucks chasing them.
Congrats Dave! Stay after them

David CulpepperGot home last night and I had a good time in England with Adam Kiri. It seems the roe buck rut had stopped by the time I arrived but then there is no controlling animals unless you catch them and chain them to a tree. I was able to take a 4 point roe and a decent muntjac. They not the biggest but its more about the hunt. I did see a bigger muntjac but did not have a safe shot at it. I saw lots of deer its just that the big boys did not show themselves, that's why its called hunting and not shooting. Here are a couple of pictures of the animals I did take.

Fallow BuckHi David
Good to see you got home safely. It was a pleasure hunting with you.
Adam tells me you are thinking of coming back to the AR weekend at Ampton in Feb, so if you make it back your muntjac buck is on me and hopefully your luck will be better.

shakariDavid,
Congratulations on your hunt & thanks for posting the pics. It's donkey's years since I even saw a muntjac & it brings a lot of old memories flooding back!
