Bob BixbyShipping finished trophies from Europe
I hunted Roe Deer last year in Europe,
I had two European mounts done, as well as having one skin tanned.
All the work is done and ready to be shipped.
I am being told by my outfitter that I need an import agent to be able to ship to the US and have to have it cleared at a port of entry.
This complicates things a lot...
We left it there to be done, to avoid this, as we were told that finished tropies could be shipped directly to our home.
Does anyone have any information that could shed light on this?
Do I need a shipping agent / customs broker?
Thank you!!!!!

NorwegianwoodsYou don't need a broker, but you will need to pick up the trophies at the port of entry they get shipped to yourself then.
If you want it shipped directly to your home, you will need to use a broker that deal with customs for you and then ship it to you.
