LHOAnother Norwegian reindeerbuck + bonus buck added 04.10.09
As I posted in Anders` exelent thread, I had the oportunity to hunt for a reindeerbuck in a area further north in Norway,
here is some snapshots of my reindeer
It was not as big as what I had hoped for, but after a perfect 3hours+ stalk for a bachelor group of 6 buck`s in very challenging terrain I could not resist, and I got the biggest in the group. The buck is probably a couple of years over the top.
Here is a picture of a female and her calf that i shot 05.30 in the morning the first day of the season right outside my tent.
Got another buck while I was out hunting brown bear. This one is medium size because I had a tag for a 50kg buck, this one was 55kg

Shot with rem 700 338wm, 225grs A-frame

LHO,

The land is mostly public, but some of it is privat. It`s come too agreement so we can cross intoo each others areas.
The locals all get licenses before a non-resident to our area gets one.
my buck-tag was given too me from a privat land area but I shot it in a public area.
Works very well, and it has too be this way so we can manage the herds right.

AndersGreat Lars Henrik!
What a fine bonus.

Have you seen any bears, btw?
13 October 2009, 00:27
LHOThanks for the nice comments!
Anders, the bear were seen in the morning. It was crossing a road. We had a team of 15 hunters ready in 2hours, but other game (moose and reindeer) made the tracking(hunting) very difficult for the dogs.
