Enjoyed the clip Anders, Waidmannsheil. CWD are interesting little buggers!

Very nice. Brings back memories of my CWD hunt from 2002. Hard to believe it's almost been ten years.

That's a lovely looking CWD buck you had. Peter Trew is a great bloke and work's hard to make it a great day's stalking. Here's his site www.chinesewaterdeerstalking.co.uk

Nice clip mate,
I have to look through the rest of the footage we got as I saw Ayad and he was asking about the Rough shooting footage.
Let me know about January when you get a look at the flights. It should be good fun to see if we can get some Woodcock on film.
I'll try to edit some rough and driven shooting soon. Did get more than enough for some short clips. If we can get some woodcock in Jan and muntjac++ in March a dvd can be made
Nice one guys, great video and some nice shooting Anders!
Looking forward to seeing more material as always.

Excellent clip Anders. Nice looking animal too. I have never seen them in their natural habitat before so I found that of real interest.

Great clip Anders nd Kiri
I hope one day you folks can stalk these creatures in china where they origianate from
Typcally they live in paddy fields with 4-6 inches of water they can paddle / wallow great distances across lakes and gorges hence their name
They in fact rarely get onto dry land even when breeding, the young are born in willow beds looking for protection from elements
In china there has been no hunting for many decades and for those who remember they used to trap deer rather than using rifles for food
I though you guys might be interested in some local knowledge rather than Wikipedia copy and paste hobby
I have stalked them with my little camera and it is quite different seeing them in their natural habitat rather than in a field in southern England
Nonetheless congratulation on an exciting hunt and sharing that clip with us
I look forward to your new DVD

Thanks for the information Really interesting. It would be really great fun to hunt them in their natural habitat. Do you think China will ever reopen? Do you know the current status of the CWD there, I mean population size and distribution?
