In the end, a great tournament, with lots of great matches, new names replacing old, fantastic stadiums and fans, and a surprise winner. Painful as it was to all of us who had their team retire, lets enjoy the fact that there was so much great football played, Portugal-England, Sweden-Denmark, Portugal-Holland, just to name a few.

It was a bit gut wrentching to watch mr. Eusebio handing the medals to the Portugese players But the face of football is more global than ever, I am glad there is a new power to contend with on the footie scene!
