nightwalker ukDisposal of Dog C##P!
Have for years just shovelled the crap out of my kennels and flung it into the field, no worries until I am walking halfway across the "dung corridor" and remember where I am at!!! Also now with a 3 year old daughter that likes to explore there must be more hygienic way of disposal.
Had a look on 'tinternet and there are various disposal containers, that work with enzmes/water in a sunken plastic drum that break it all down - but they are expensive.
Reckon I could sink a large plastic pheasant hopper with slits cut in it, then just add water?? but what about the enzmes bit, or do I not have to bother about this.
Used to bag all the crap and put it in the dustbin, but its a bit of a bind transporting a bagfull of it in the landrover, and also believe it shouldn't go into refuse bins.
Any ideas from others with a kennel full of working dogs?

Alex.YNW,
you could always try a fishing catapult, the one with a large cup on it, im sure that would give you hours of fun using the cows in the valley as target practice.it would help you get a better distance fling.
i would even give fifty quid if i saw one of those wild white rabbits with a chodd back pack!! good way to fine tune your stalking

I don't fancy the curry much!!!
There's always the option of slinging it on a bonfire and having a burn up every week or so.
I bought one of those enzyme things a couple of years ago and never got round to fitting it. You can actually buy the enzymes/bacteria seperately, as it's the same stuff that goes in a septic tank. That's effectively al it is on a smaller scale.
How much did you see them for? This one was about £30 if I remember correctly. The other otion that my dad did was to put a drain from the kennels with a big pipe going into a deep hole in the ground. Fill with shingle and cover with Turf. You then just hose into the drain and it works like a soak away.

Pete ENightwalker UK,
Do you have a manhole/drain cover for your sewer pipe in your garden?
If, so, thats how I'd get rid of it...you might need to change the lid arrangement to make it more convenient to lift and have a tap running in the house to supply water to "flush" it....

Pete

Buy yourself a pitching wedge, wait for the first hard frosts of winter and swing away !!!
Hours of fun and exercise for the price of some doggie snacks
Good work fella.
PS. Make sure you don't swing on the fresh one's .....nasty.
