Ibex and Chamois
I need some recommendations for hunting Ibex or Chamois in 2011.

I would like to hunt in mainland europe for a fixed price. Ibex would be my main choice.

I'm sure there must be some great deals out there and I'm hoping that some outfitters or agents will be able to help..

A friend of mine has two Ibex leases in the Teruel province of Spain. Beautiful landscape, hunted there twice, shot 5 including one buck. PM me your mail adress and I`ll get you in contact.

If you are looking for a "deal" on an ibex, you are likely better off in places like Mongolia.

Thanks Mbogo

this needs to be an open country hunt, no fences, still should have plenty of time to organise and check out.

Think about your physical condition and start training well in time. High mountain hunting is no casual walk and big or small, medal or not, there no such thing as an "easy" Chamois.

3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact.
5 shots are a group.

thanks for the advise, I'm still relatively young and I tend to run and cycle regularly. I reckon I'm in reasonable shape but would probably have to up the ante before a mountain trip

For Ibex, I would strongly recommend www.hunttripspain.com. I have know Francisco for 10yrs. I hunting Ibex with him 2 xmas ago, and got a very nice Silver medal, and then ended up spending the rest of the days with him and his family in their home, with some partridge shooting thrown inSmiler

Chamois: again, I would strong recommend http://www.pannonvad.hu/. My brother has know Toni for years. I went to Romania last year with him, and shot a fair bronze medal, and am heading back this coming Sept for another go. Probably one of the most physically demanding hunts I have done, but also the most rewarding (you definitely earn it...)

Good luck
