Fallow Buck
Fallow Buck
Now that I have worked out how to post pics here is my Christmas fallow buck.
I had been stalking him for three months and as usual he sat tight in the thick stuff with only the tops of his antlers showing until shooting light went. Then finally he made a mistake and got up 5 minutes too early hence the night time photo.
Max antler length 28" (71cm).[IMG:left]

BoghossianWhat a beauty!
I see he still has his back points too, which are often broken off.
What caliber and at what range?
I took him at 75 yards with a 150gn Sako Superhammerhead in 0.308. It was a quartering away shot. In fact the beast had become so cocky that he watched me climb into the high seat

OldsargeNo sweat. There a good number of guides/outfitters in Britain who will take you onto property they have rights too, see that you are comfortably fed and housed and that your rifle is legally imported. You need to join SCI and either start writing to the advertisers or come to the convention and talk to them directly.

OldsargeYou're in good position. The Dallas show is just a couple of weeks before the National in Reno every year. Some think it's a better venue. I wouldn't know because Reno is closer to me but I am absolutely sure that you will find what you want there.
Good hunting,
