Arild IversenThe new Zeiss Duralyt scope.
This new serie (3 models) of scope from Carl Zeiss was shown at the IWA this spring.
Has any of you had a chance to rewiev this scope yet, or seen any test report?
No Lotutec or illuminated reticle, and only # 6.
But priced in the middle segment it could well be a good option on a working rifle ?

FainaHello Arild,
I read somethink about this new scopes, but wasn't a test...
I belive this scopes are on the same quality level like the Conquest series and for 700-800 Euro can be a very good choise!!

mouse93By hearsay it is the latest spear by Zeiss toward Swarovski. With ridiculous Swaro prices it may hurt some.

Victor TI've seen and handled them and had an opportunity to look thru them in falling light conditions. They are very good. Just waiting for the chance to give one an extended work out.

Arild IversenDonner.
I´m looking for a new scope for my 375 H&H and the Duralyt did look promising

What was it that made you sell it?
Perhaps I better hang on to my old Leupold VariX III

Fallow BuckArild,
It looks like we will probably be using 2-3 of the new scopes in RSA this August. When I get more details I will let you know as we should be getting them in advance prior to the trip. I'm not sure exactly which models right now, but will keep you posted.

Arild IversenThat´s fine Kiri.
I was thinking about the 1,2-5x36, or the 2-8x42 as a fitting size for my biggest rifle.
Guess I just wait it out then and see what you guys will tell.
As a scope for long range I don't think they will cut the mustard with 1/3rd moa adjustments.
Unless they do a conventional scope with 1/4moa or 1/2 cm adjustments then i think they will be a non starter.

griff

1894mk2I was interested in the 1.2-5x36 but it's very definately not a short action scope being very long.
