Theft? I don't think so. It might be breach of copyright.
As for cast antlers Is it really ?

Where does it state that in any of the deer acts? Or any other legislation for that matter?

Section 1 of the Deer Act
http://www.fact-uk.org.uk/Section 1 of the Deer Act deals with close seasons. No mention of cast antlers.

IIRC from my long ago legal lessons, breach of copyright is not theft as its a civil matter. Unlike infringement of trademarks. Whilst not theft is a criminlal offence.
I'm sure our resident legal beagles will clarify the matter.
Section 1 not Sched 1

Jools as they say everyday is a schoolday
LOL
So you're refering to the '91 act not the '63 act or the '07 act.
There is absolutely no mention of cast antlers in any of the deer acts.

It seems that school is definately out

Jools nice try there is no Deer Act 07

This really is

Interpretation..
“deer” means deer of any species and includes the carcase of
any deer or any part thereof;
Apolgies I should have written.
The Regulatory Reform (Deer) (England and Wales) Order 2007.
Is that your interpretaion or a legal one passed down by a judge or a suitably qualified QC?
As a cast antler is no longer attactched to any deer and is ther fore effectively redundant of use or adornment its is therefore simply part of the debris of the habit in which it was cast. Like a maple leaf or a pine cone.

No case law however ANY PART THEREOF seems to cover it

Anyway are you going to lend me the DVD or not.
Ah! So now we are getting to the bottom of it. Its your interpretation for the purpose of this discussion.

As I said seeing as the antler/s have been voluntarily shed. It is not long part of a deer or its carcass. Its simply waste calcium phosphate
, collagen fiber, calcium carbonate, hydroxypatite.

As I said I don't have it but I know a man who does.
I say ask if he would be prepared to lend it to you.
Presumably you would prefer the orgininal rather than a copy?

A 'back up' copy would be fine
