Gentlemen,

For the last several days, I have heard news reports that there has been an outbreak of violence and unrest in France, particularly around Lyon(?).

What is the cause of this and what is being done? I think its terrible what is happening over there right now as I understand several people have been hurt.

What is the word on these events in France?

The riots have been going on nightly for around two weeks now, but it seems to be quietening down a bit, hopefully they are over the worst...
