Travel Insurance
I'm sure this has been covered elsewhere but I can't find it right now, so please can anyone help me find a UK insurance company who can provide travel insurance for a hunting trip to Africa.
All the usual companies I have found on google specifically exclude hunting activities in their small print.
I understand my BASC insurance covers me for third party shooting incidents but I'm also looking for the holiday insurance side of things as well.
Thanks

try some of the outfitters who specialize in safari's and ask them who they use for their insurance..
Alternatively give basc a ring and ask them to find insurance for you, thats what your membership fee covers...

Thankyou Gents,

When I called the BASC yesterday, they put me onto their insurance brokers "Marsh Insurance" who claimed they did'nt offer travel insurance! But I'm starting get a few other leaders now into some more promising insurers. I'll have a bit more phoning around to do on Monday.

Cheers

Research done, phone calls made...

Trailfinders have a general holiday insurance policy that specifically lists both "shooting" and "hunting" as included activities covered on their insurance.

I've got my whole family (wife, 2kids) covered on an annual multi-trip worlwide gold package for £169 which is just a few quid more than the cheepest comparable "hunting excluded" insurance from tesco finance.

www.trailfinders.co.uk will get you their contact details but the website is pretty hopeless with policy details. Call them up and get them to send out a policy booklet.

... It pays to shop about...
