The richochet comes back from the backstop, hits the ground in front of the shooter, richochets again and just creases the guy... How lucky can you get?

I wonder what the backstop is actually made of (it looks pretty sensible) and at what distance they are shooting - maybe 50 yds, or so??

If I'm not mistaken, these two clips are shot at the same location - watch the backstop and the trees behind it. It sure looks alike. (Steve Latham seems to agree...).

If that is the case, I'll offer 5:1, that these scenes are fakes. What are the chances that you can have 2 richochets nearly killing somebody from the very same location/backstop?? If the story should be true, the guys must be from the lower end of the gene pool to go out and try again.

Btw, in the second clip, the backstop is shown at larger magnification - looks as if it has lots of rocks in it. Surely not the best material for a backstop ...

Their is another one on youtube with some guy shooting a 50 bmg and it comes back and knocks his ear defenders clean off!!you can see it kick up some dirt in front of him so its not fake.

It seems that every month or so, a video clip comes out showing some guy nearly getting hit by a ricochet at the range while target shooting.

Bench rest shooting sure is dangerous.
