Husqvarna action i.d. help please from Husqy fans.
Hi - I've posted on the gunsmithing forum requesting help in confirming whether a Husqy I have is a commercial FN action - any help much appreciated. Thanks. Charlie.

That is easy if you can supply a pic of the action and the serial number. If you don't have pic capabilities, the serial number may be enough.

If it has the ejector slot in the left bolt lug its a FN. If the ejector is located at "5 o'clock" on the bolt face and both lugs are solid like on the pre '64 model 70s you have the sweedish HVA action. The HVA was a "small ring" action and the FN a "large ring". Thats about all I know to tell you. FNMauser

Strike while the iron is hot! Look before you leap!He who hesitates is lost! Slow and steady wins the race! Time waits for no man! A stitch in time saves nine! Make hay while the sun shines! ect. ect.

Thanks guys - I've confirmed the proof marks are Belgian and it is definitely a 1947 FN c-ring action. Much appreciated. Charlie.
