monteroIberian wolf
In some regions of Spain we have an extremely healthy, some think too healthy, and huntable population of wolves.
Two weeks ago, while stalking roe deer y had the fortune of taking this one. It was in the National Game Reserve of Os Ancares, in Galicia.
I was amazed by how the villagers celebrated its death.

Very nice wolf. I hope that we would be able to hunt them in Sweden too.
Soo you have been out on more adventures with the kiplauf

Cheers

Hi, and congratulations!
How big or heavy is an average Iberian wolf?
We have the siberian kind over here, 50 kg. Locals would like to get rid of the occational problem animal here too, but EU officials and citypeople with green backpacks and glossy eyes claim they know better..

I have to admit that my kiplauf has not seen much rest this season

The size of our Iberian Wolf is much smaller that the Siberian one. On average I would say 30 kilo with the exceptional individual weighing up to 50.

Ah Weidmannsheil, what a most unusual trophy for Western Europe! The Goddess indeed smiled at you that particular day!

Arild IversenNice trophy Montero, and a beautiful landscape.
Here in Norway the greens and the government are reintroducing the wolf in the areas bordering Sweden.
The sheep herders and the rural locals dont feel happy about it at all, but there is an EU obligation running to keep a healty wolf population in som restricted areas.
