10.3x60R in Graubuenden
I was reading one of my older issues of "Jagen Weltweit" the other day and it had an article on this caliber. It said that this is the only legal caliber for all game in the Graubuenden Kanton. Is this still true? I read somewhere else that scopes are not allowed, except for older people or those with poor eyesight. I was wondering if this was true as well. I think that this is a very interesting caliber and I have always wanted to try it as a short to medium range elk caliber.

That's not quite correct.
The rule is "minimum caliber of 10.2 mm", so a .416 Rem.Mag. or the like is also legal.
However most hunters use the traditional 10.3x60R.
The no-scope rule was abolished some years ago.

.... but the rifles still have to be single shot. Repeaters are commonly used with a magazine block to meet the requirement.

Our very own "Collani" has breathed new life into the old warhorse by producing comparatively light mono-metal bullets, which improve the ballistics quite significantly.

If you care to read more about the 10.3x60R, check out Collani's websites:

(The latter in German only, but with a bunch of technical information).
